FRONT-SIDE BUS speed: how fast you can pump data to the CPU
-how fast it communicates with other parts of the computer

SLOT vs. SOCKET (has pins which go in)
SLOT: on a little board which plugs into motherboard...processor "on its side"
sockets are used more often.
chipset: interface to CPU. determines FSB speed, RAM speed (should be equal to FSB). determines what type of RAM you can use.
